A Lakhpati Didi refers to a woman
A “Lakhpati Didi” is a woman member of a Self-Help Group (SHG) who earns ₹1 lakh or more annually through sustainable livelihood activities. Under the Lakhpati Didi scheme, women are supported with skill training, financial access, and livelihood opportunities so they can increase their income. Once they achieve this level of earning, they are recognized as Lakhpati Didis—symbolizing financial independence, confidence, and empowerment within their community.
